Boys: Linacre House
Girls: Luxmoore House
Luxmoore House takes our students back in time to the medieval period with its stunningly preserved architecture. Incorporating the surviving parts of a medieval Great Chamber, this building blends historic architecture with award-winning modern design.
Its location offers excellent access to academic, leisure, and sports, as well as being next to the Canterbury Cathedral UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This boarding house is named after Sir Arthur Fairfax Coryndon Luxmoore OKS, Lord Justice of Appeal.

Harvey House
Harvey House offers comfortable summer school accommodation within the historic St Augustine’s campus. The house overlooks both Canterbury Christ Church University and the famous St Augustine’s Abbey ruins.
Carlyon House
Carlyon House is a day house located near the heart of the school campus. The building includes an attractive courtyard garden and convenient access to classrooms and dining facilities. Its historic origins connect closely with The King’s Summer School’ wartime history.
Marlowe House
Marlowe House, a beautifully situated day house, siting beside the Deanery and overlooks the beautiful Green Court. Named after playwright Christopher Marlowe, the house celebrates literary and academic heritage.
Mitchinson’s House
Mitchinson’s House combines historic architecture with bright modern interior spaces. The building includes spacious communal areas and impressive glass courtyard features. This day house is conveniently located, offering convenient access to sports, art, and technology facilities.
Morpurgo House
Morpurgo House occupies a grand property within the centre of the Precincts and directly overlooking the Canterbury Cathedral UNESCO World Heritage Site. The accommodation features elegant historic rooms designed for study and relaxation. Dedicated residential staff provide excellent pastoral support for students.
Galpin’s House
Galpin’s House stands beside the historic Mint Yard quadrangle near the main school entrance. The house enjoys easy access to academic buildings and music facilities. Its gardens are bordered by Canterbury’s historic city walls.
The Grange
The Grange is located close to the historic At Augustine’s Abbey ruins, as well as sports fields, library facilities, and academic buildings.

Tradescant House
Tradescant House overlooks the peaceful Dovecote lawn within St Augustine’s campus.

Bailey House

Broughton House occupies a beautiful historic building near the school library and chapels.

All of our accommodations offer secure boarding houses within a gated campus. They offer a welcoming ‘home from home’ and include comfortable bedrooms, social spaces, and excellent on-campus dining facilities.
Our boarding houses have secure access and are equipped with modern facilities, including common rooms with TVs and games, outdoor gardens, laundry services, and full Wi-Fi coverage.
How does The King’s Summer School assign accommodation?
Students are housed separately by gender and roomed by age in carefully supervised boarding houses. Our experienced residential staff remain on hand to ensure every student feels supported throughout their stay.

Yes, healthy meals are prepared daily by our onsite catering team. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served within the school dining halls. Students receive packed lunches during excursions and off-site activities.
