Summer School Programmes

We Offer a Range of Immersive Programmes That Provide Students With an Authentic King’s Canterbury Experience

Our summer school programmes are the main courses that we offer to our students. Each programme is tailored to a specific academic track, depending on your skills and interests. They are designed to provide a balanced and engaging experience, where students can grow academically, socially, and personally.

We offer the following programmes:

English Language Summer School

Our English Language Summer School helps students to create, develop, and master their English language proficiency. We cater to students from around the world with a diverse range of language skills, cultural backgrounds, and personal interests.

To accommodate this range of student abilities, we’ve developed an academic curriculum that is tailored to each student’s specific needs and passions. This curriculum is based upon three central pillars: knowledge based, skills based, and values-based learning.

Whether a student wants to improve their language skills, pursue academic interests, or explore new fields, our programmes offer the flexibility to help them achieve their goals.

Availability

The English Language Summer School programme is available for students 8–17-years-old. Classes are populated according to student age and ability.

For older students looking to study in the UK, maybe at a University or British boarding school, we also recommend pairing this summer school with our IELTS Preparation and Exam academy.

This academy combines our course’s standard English Language lessons with examination preparation under the internationally recognised IELTS (International English Language Testing System) qualification in English language that is often necessary for university admission in the UK.

Global Studies Summer School

Our Global Studies Summer School encompasses the real and prevalent issues confronting today’s societies. Each lesson is devoted to the study of global affairs. During these lessons, we focus on issues such as globalisation, environmentalism, international finance, politics, and justice.

Our aim is to support our students in developing their critical thinking skills and analytical abilities. We want our students to do more than just retain information. We want to foster within in them the ability to research, interrogate, and debate what they have learned in their own right.

Our teachers encourage our students to truly challenge themselves by learning from both their teachers and their fellow students. In doing this, we aim to support them informing, understanding, and articulating their opinions to one another.

Please Note: This programme is aimed at students with a high level of English language proficiency and fluent English speakers, as it does not include any English language teaching.
