Welcome, dear parents! We are thrilled to share with you the exciting experiences of our students as they embark on their summer adventure at King’s Canterbury. Our first day was a whirlwind of activity, and the initial steps into a memorable stay.
Landing at London Heathrow
The King’s Canterbury team was on hand to greet everyone with warm smiles and assist with the seamless transition from the bustling airport to our awaiting coaches. Despite the long flights, the energy among the students was high, and the journey to Canterbury was filled with chatter and laughter.
Arrival at King’s Canterbury
Upon arrival at King’s Canterbury, the students were welcomed with a delicious lunch in the dining hall followed by an induction session, which gave students essential information about the programme, campus rules, and safety guidelines. Students were split into their class groups and set off on guided tours of the campus.
Afternoon Activities
The afternoon was packed with engaging activities designed to help students settle in and start exploring their interests. Whether it was sports, arts, or simply relaxing, there was something for everyone. The staff ensured that each student felt included and excited about the days to come.
Day 2: Lessons and Exploring Canterbury
The second day began with a hearty breakfast, fuelling the students for a day full of learning and adventure.

Excursion to Canterbury City
After a morning of lessons, the students embarked on an exciting excursion to Canterbury city. The visit began with a tour of the Senior School, where they got a taste of the academic and extracurricular life at King’s.
Visit to Canterbury Cathedral & A Boat Trip on the River Stour
The next stop was the iconic Canterbury Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Students were enthralled by its stunning architecture and rich history.
The day’s adventures culminated with a serene boat trip on the River Stour. As they drifted along the water, students learned about Canterbury’s history from a unique vantage point. The peaceful journey was a perfect way to unwind and reflect on the day’s experiences.
Reflecting on an Eventful Start
As the students returned to campus, tired but happy, they gathered for dinner and shared stories of their day.
